| All the time you need, bottomless
pockets and an overabundance of top of the line lighting gear are
all amazing things. But seriously, when is the last time we were
fortunate to have all of those luxuries? Let's check back into reality...you
have precious little time, a less than meager budget and for some
reason never enough hands to help out. Now, that sounds more like
it. But the hardworking LD doesn't allow any of that to get in the
way of the finished product. With some patience and a little luck
your video can blossom (without breaking the bank) into a truly
artful expression. In this case, for the internationally acclaimed
Hopesfall, their latest music video "Breathe From Coma."
LD's Brian Barker and Jack Kelly of Eye Dialogue teamed up with
music video director Chandler Owen to create a bright and eerie
beginning to what is sure to be several future media endeavors.
Creating a central focal point in the center of a pitch black 16,000
sq. ft. warehouse isn't an easy task, so the LD's and the director
agreed that having the illusion of a standard performance video
entwined with shadowy nuances was best. The continual lighting concept
throughout the video was simple bursts of white light heavily relying
on backlit silhouettes for a monochromatic theme, then scattered
with hints of soft background color. The new video "Breathe
From Coma" was first seen on MTV's The Headbanger’s Ball
March 23rd, 2006. After the debut, the video has seen numerous prime
time slots on MTV, MTV2 and Fuse networks. The video can also be
seen on Hopesfall.com and at their current label Trustkill.com.
