For nearly a year, I worked as the lighting designer
for Discovery Place as a subcontractor for Wild West Lighting. I
practiced techniques in color matching and focus. Focusing nearly
150 fixtures for every exhibit change-over, I learned to see the
big picture of focus, planning the entire area before moving a fixture.
I also had to learn to do it quickly. Relatively unfocused until
I took the position, I didn't have alot of competition. Tthe staff
was extremely incouraging and constantly complimenting my ability
to make their exhibits shine.
